   The great idea came from Bob, one of my friend from UK now working in Australia, one day when we were chatting on the facebook about his picnic on the weekend. He suggested that I could have a picnic with my friends here. Not having had a picnic for a long time, not being good at cooking, I didn't know what to cook or how to prepare for that. When I told Nga, my classmate from Vietnam, about the crazy idea, she was excited and told me not to worry about the food coz she could make Vietnamese food for us. After having decided to have a picnic, we kept finding a suitable day, but sometimes we were too busy and sometimes it was too cold. Finally it's getting warmer recently and we decieded today would be the day!
   There were five girls having picnic in the most famous compus in NCKU. There were some banyans in the grasslands. Nga called the biggest banyan "the Famous Tree" and we all like it a lot. Nga and Xuxu, the girls from Vietnam, made four dishes for us. Bai Shan made some biscuits and I brought the egg tarts I made and three kinds of drink my mom made. Shao brought her nice camera to take photos for us. :D I was my first time to have original Vietnamese food made by Vietnamese girls. The sauce they made was outstanding! It was sour coz they added come lemon in it and the food became fantastic with the sauce. Tasting too delicious, the food made me wanna visit Vietnam someday. Nga told us that the food there was much cheaper than that in Taiwan. So I thought it was the time to start saving money for the plane ticket!! :p 

 
 
  I love Friday very much coz my dear sister, Chen, will come home. We always have a lot to talk and become very noisy when talking. (My mom said that's probably because there are six mouths in my sister's name 語 and three mouths in my name 品. hahaha!) Chen studies in industrial design department in Kaohsiung. Although her major is very different from mine, I enjoy admiring her works and listening to some interesting teaching methods in their department. Their professors are not like ours who always stand on the platform teaching; instead, they will tell the students the projects needed to do in this semester and a general direction about their works, and then, there may be no classes except for some discussion, midtern display and final display.
  I always remember a funny story Chen told me. In one of their classes, the professor, Ms. Cheng, asked them to choose a concrete object and they need to draw by using different ways including using different materials. In the beginning, prof. Cheng wanted them to sketch the object with different time, one hour for a sketch first, then 30 minutes for one, then 10 minutes, then 5, then 1, then 30 seconds, and finally 10 seconds for one sketch! After they finished all the sketches, prof. Cheng would choose her favorite one from the 7 sketches for each student. Chen wasn't good at sketching coz when young, she just drew for fun instead of getting serious training. So she didn't think she would do well on those sketckes. After seeing the 7 works sketched by Chen, prof. Cheng chose the one Chen has spent 10 seconds drawing. Chen joked on herself that the sketch couldn't be better even it stayed in her hands longer. 

 
 
  I saw the movie "Eat, Pray, Love" a couple of days ago and I like it very much. It's a story about a divorced woman Liz who traveled herself to find the meaning of life. Liz couldn't put up with her ex-husband because they had different perspectives and she decided to leave. Her first trip was in Rome. Meeting some new friends there, Liz ate a lot to enjoy life. Then she went to India. Eager to find her god, Liz wanted to spend some time on meditation like the people there did but it was hard for her at first. Besides, She felt guilty about divorcing with her ex-husband. Not until meeting Richard did she started to change. Richard shared his heartbreaking story about the leaving of his wife and child because of a drunk father he has used to be and told her that she needed to forgive herself first. What she has gone through was really terrible but time would pass. After cleaning out all the space in her mind, Liz continued her journey to Bali. There she met a good man but she was too afraid to love. It was not difficult to understand that because Liz finally forgave herself for leaving her ex-husband and started feeling good on her own. Now Felipe, the man she may love appeared and she would need to find the new balance of life if they were in a relationship. At the end, Liz conquered the fear and went on a love trip with Felipe.

 
 
  It was a beautiful Friday morning coz I don't need to wake up early for the experiment. Having woken early for a week, I wanna stay inside my bedquilt this morning.
  Waking up sluggishly, I walked downstairs for breakfast. I like to make breakfast myself leisurely when I don't need to hurry to school. Today was definitely a perfect day for doing this so I started thinking what to make. Toast and eggs home, I wanna make French toast! I cracked and whipt the eggs in the bowl and then poured it into a plate where the toast was soaked in.  After panned in a few minutes, the French toast was ready to be eaten. :p It was yummy to have French toast with some condensed milk. I found out cracking two eggs for making my breakfast was too many after I panned three pieces of toast. So I used the rest egg to make omelet! I've eaten omelet many times in some brunch restaurants before but I've never made it myself. I panned with small fire and after a few minutes I put the cheese on the egg, then I rolled up the egg. Surprisingly, it was a successful omelet. :D

 
 
  This is an unusual Sunday night for our family coz my sister, Chen and my brother, Hsuan stay home tonight. Usually they left to Kaohsiung on Sunday afternoon so that I would feel a little lonely at night. However, this week is out of ordinary since they won't have class tomorrow morning. It's great to have an extra dinner with Chen and Hsuan. Mom suggested to go to a famous restaurant that sells goose. It has been a long time since we last ate at the restaurant so we all agreed to have dinner there; while Daddy had a better idea! He wanted to make pork for us. Attracted by the pork too much, we gave up eating at the goose restaurant. 

 
 
  I've prepared for the presentation since last week coz I will give a talk in our group meeting tomorrow. Although the paper I will present seemed very difficult at the very start when I saw it, it became friendly after I spent some time reading and discussing with my colleagues. I always enjoys discussing with others coz sometimes it's lonely to study myself while it becomes better if others can give some opinions or ideas about my questions.
  Last week after finishing reading the paper, I had many questions in my mind. I looked them up in some books and I got something from that but there were still some doubts that couldn't be solved. As usual, I asked my colleagues if they had some ideas about my questions. We discussed for a long time while I still couldn't understand. But it was a useful discussion coz my colleagues told me where to look for the information that I didn't understand. After that, I collected a lot of meterials from the internet and deliberated upon this paper again and again.  I seemed to get something from that. I think learning is just like this. Sometimes you can't find the answers at the moment. But you learn a little this time and learn a little that time. You learn lots of "a little" and it become "more" finally so that you learn a lot.

 
 
  There was a restaurant opened recently near NCKU. Its name "Shark Bites Toast" as well as its yellow shop sign impressed me a lot when I first saw that. I kept wondering if there was any relation between sharks and toasts(???). I knew there was a restaurant called "Cat Toast" near and there were some cats in the restaurant so it got the name. Besides, many girls love cats and love to talk so that the restaurant owner may use the name and offer a good place to attract more customers.  However, there could't be any sharks in "Shark Bites Toast" and seldom are people shark lovers. Why was it called "Shark Bites Toast"?
  To find out the answer, I suggested to visit this restaurant when my friend, Shao, asked me to hang out for dinner. We were so lucky that no one was waiting when we arrived while right after we sat down, the restaurant became crowded and crowded. It took us a long time to decide what to eat coz there were so many choices, a least five kinds of waffles and ten types of toasts. I've fallen in love with waffles recently so I wanted to order one at all costs. Besides, Shao and I agreed to order a toast coz the clerk recommended it for its huge size. (Another reason is: Eating in a restaurant named after "toast" without really eating a toast sounds ridiculous :p) After a long discussion, we finally decided to order a strawberry waffle and a toast with omelet in pesto sauce.

 
 
  I went to my favorite cafe with Jen (my dear dear twin sister:D) this morning coz I need to concentrate on preparing my presentation next Monday. I cannot do that in the lab coz there are so many people who made there too crowded and noisy. Before going there, I felt a little upset since there was some trouble with my experiments. But I became happy right after seeing Jen!!!
  Eating a nice brunch, we talked a lot about what had happened recently. Jen always understands what I'm thinking. I am very lucky to have such a good friend! (maybe "good" is not enough to describe how good we are. what if "close friends"? hahaha) Both having optimistic attitude, we don't feel sad or disappointed easily. Instead, we work hard to be good, better and the best! We don't understand why some people complain about life rather than changing their attitude. You can choose to have a happy day or a gloomy day. (Of course Jen and I would choose the former :D) Sometimes it will become better if you are happier. :") Therefore, when I had lots of tasks, I prefered to try my best to finish them rather than being sad. When I had some trouble with my experiments, I would do something else first to prevent me from being vexed and then I would think up some solution for that. I know Jen feels almost the same with me!
